West London Film Studios
Elbrook Cash and Carry brought HDS Studios, Hayes back in 2005, It was a closed film studios in a time when the filming industry was a struggling business going through a hard time. Elbook brought the studios as an investment property and hoped to change it for the use of banqueting suites and restaurants. The planning was unfortunately rejected at the time as Hillingdon council did not want to lose the film studio.
The Khalid family decided to refurbish and start running it as a film studio and on May 18th 2014 it reopened as West London Film Studios. Breaking bad actor Aaron Paul came on the opening and had the honour of cutting the ribbon. Since that day our team have not looked back and embraced the idea of remaining as a film studios.
Oscar winning movies and Emmy- award shows had been filmed at our studios like the notable ‘Imitation game’ staring Benedict Cumberbatch and Academy-award winning Keira Knightley. Also Judy starring Renée Zellweger. One of our recent productions for an award-winning series ‘Ted Lasso’ has been filming at our studios. With the rising success of our film studios we have managed to grow, and we are in the process of expanding by building a second studio located nearby. The works began in January 2022 and we hope to complete the works by end of 2022.
The current studios is 104,000 sq ft and has five stages, workshops and offices. Our new 90,000 sq ft will have four stages, workshops and offices. The studios provides attraction to the local area and remains to be a growing business with further plans for the future.
In the light of boosting streaming services, our new state of the art studios facilities are ready for the challenge.
